LOAD May 2017

I'm up on the ScrapHappy.org website today with my contribution to the LOAD (layout a day) project for May 2017. The inspiration for the whole month is the golden age of Hollywood, and my project was specifically inspired by the first 'talkie,' The Jazz Singer. You should totally check out scraphappy.org for information about LOAD and for their annual membership. Alice's community there is a direct reflection of her kind and generous spirit. If you want to be inspired to make more scrapbook pages and hang out with fellow scrappers, this is definitely a project you should consider. :)

  1. I love this layout Tiffany, thanks for sharing. My daughter is 9 years old and she hasn't stopped talking since she was a baby!! I feel like my ears could bleed sometimes, I'm so glad I'm not the only one. Thank you so much! xxx

  2. What a great story, and the picture of Kelsey is perfect! It was so much fun to meet you in person this past weekend--thank you for all of your inspiration!

  3. What a great story to have recorded (and what an utterly adorable picture). The detail about her little hand coming under the door is so telling. She needed the connection with you after a long day apart as much as you needed a few minutes to change gears from one part of your day to the next. The mix of more vintage-style embellishments with the fresher pops of color seems to mesh the time frame of the story with the current day's journaling.

My daughter (turning 13 on Sunday -- ack!) is still this way with me. I get home or pick her up from my Mom's house and she just jabbers away. Lately we've been watching Gilmore Girls together and then she wants to keep talking to me rather than go to bed. I'm not getting much time to myself these days, but I know this may not last a lot longer into her teenage years, so am trying to appreciate it. :-)
