Sharing a layout - Each Day I Thank My Lucky Stars

Today, I'm sharing a fun page that I made last week about my sweet girl and her dog, Ollie. This is a super simple page, but I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I was able to mix both old and new product, so that was a win! The top photo features an old PL style card that I've had forever - maybe it was WRMK? - as well as a new chipboard star and a label where I hand-wrote the date of the photo.

On the top left, I incorporated a couple of different kinds of washi tape for some added color and texture against that wood-grain paper.

While this pic is a bit grainy, I like that you can see the printed paper I used (Crate Paper) and the cardstock sticker I incorporated to the right of the photo as well as the documented label on top of the left photo.

Here, you can see a couple more PL style cards that I used that are likewise pretty old. You can see the journaling here too. I admit to being a bit sappy in this journaling; these days, I've been thinking a lot about when Kelsey and Jake might have children, so it was a natural topic for this page. Of course, we all have to get through the wedding first. Haha!

I absolutely love using a PL card as my title because it takes all of the guesswork out of it and doesn't involve a lot of work. (Y'all know that titles aren't really that important to me, right?) Using a few more chipboard stars on the title card allows me to have a visual triangle of stars and continues that iconic theme across the entire layout.

Here's the final result! I'm really happy with the page and am glad that I was able to take two fairly ordinary photos but still tell a meaningful story about them.
