Sharing a layout - Christmas Village

Here's one more layout that I made this week and wanted to share with you. It's one that I struggled in making, largely because I didn't feel like my colors and patterns were just right. I didn't want to use anything overtly Christmasy because I wasn't in the mood for that, but I think I might have made the process more difficult by not going in that direction.

I started with an old piece of patterned paper that I've been hoarding for ages. Go me for using my stash! I lined my three photos up in a horizontal row along the bottom because that gives me order in the world and makes me happy. Then, I added a strip of giant washi tape that came in one of the SC sale boxes I bought about a month ago. And then I was stuck. What do I do next?  I made a title block and wrote out a journaling card but didn't know how to arrange it on the layout. After several moments of indecision, I went with a loosey-goosey sort of messy look. I'm still unsure about it, but at least I can call this layout finished.

Here's a closeup of the title and journaling blocks.

Here's a look at the photos and embellishments on the bottom of the page.

And here's the super simple finished page.

I hope you've enjoyed all my layouts I've shared over the past week. When I give myself a block of uninterrupted time to scrapbook, I can really produce some things if I focus. In fact, I can't wait until I have more time to spend just playing around in my studio.
