Sharing a layout - Happy Birthday Kelsey

If you're like me, then you have lots of birthday layouts that you need to complete. Sometimes, event based layouts like this bore me, so I have a tendency to make these just single page spreads and I try to incorporate a few themed embellishments to make my life easier.

For this layout, I realized I didn't have really good pics of Kelsey's 22nd birthday. I'm not sure why that was exactly, but I wasn't happy with really any of the photos. Because of that, I cropped the pics significantly and only used the bits that I thought were really needed to tell the story.

Here's a close-up of the title treatment - just a PL style card that I matted on a scrap piece of patterned paper and popped up from the page for a little bit of dimension.

Here's a close-up of the journaling...

Take a look at the row of embellishments I included along the right hand side of the layout - I thought they bridged the gap between the smaller pic sizes and the larger journaling block below them.

And here you go one more time - another birthday layout completed. Woot! Woot! :)

Stay tuned to my blog for more fun stuff this week - travel tomorrow, pics of a fun evening on Wednesday, and layouts to close out the work week. Go be crafty, my peeps!
