Shopping spree

You know how I talked in this week's podcast about being irritated when I shop too much and scrapbook too little? Well, I'm a total hypocrite because look what I've been doing this past week or so. Yeah, I've been on a bit of a shopping spree lately. I guess I should feel a little guilty about it...should...

Check out what I bought on clearance at the Rivergate Michael's in Nashville. The store is moving to Hendersonville (Tracie's city), so what little scrapbook stuff they had left had been marked down 50% PLUS an extra 50% off of that price.  I got this entire collection of goodies for less than $20. Cha-ching!

Last week, I also ordered these lovely letter stickers on Amazon. This purchase is really Tracie's fault. She piggybacked on an order I was making already for Kelsey's birthday, so she could get these stickers. I mean, it's not like I could let her have them and not get some for myself. They were a bit pricey, around $5, but I do think you get a lot of stickers for the money.

After she and I podcasted on Saturday, we headed to both Michael's (see above) and to Joann's. Pictured here are the goodies I snagged at Joann's. Honestly, it was kind of a sad selection and a sad looking store, but I did find some things I really liked. The letter stickers (both large and small) are Tracie's fault again, but I'm the one who fell in love with the wood veneer overlay and the Tim Holtz folio. I'd been looking for a palette knife to use my texture paste with - hypothetically - so I was happy to have found this package. The best part? After the 40% off sale on papercrafting items and my teacher discount, this collection of goodness was only about $17. Woot! Woot!

When I came home from podcasting last Saturday, there was a package on my doorstep. Oh yeah, I placed an order with My Mind's Eye last week. Someone in our facebook community shared about an awesome deal they were having, and I just had to jump all over that. My collection of MME yumminess cost just $15 including shipping. I think that's a pretty awesome deal for 28 pieces of thick, double-sided, printed paper + 6 PL style cards + 4 title style cards + 5 packages of embellishments + 2 packages of enamel dots. So yeah, this was an excellent bargain.

And then I came home from work Tuesday to discover another package had been delivered. This one is Tracie's fault too; it's from Emma's Paperie who was having a big paper sale that she tempted me by sharing. I bought 38 pieces of fabulous paper - almost all Crate Paper and Simple Stories - a chipboard sticker sheet and a package of printed diecuts for only $43 including shipping.  Look at all my pretties spread out here in this pic.

I was already feeling pretty guilty about all of this shopping when I received a couple of other email notifications. Apparently, my etsy stamp order from Spain is on its way now as is my order from ACOT  :0  Let's not forget that my monthly Cocoa Daisy Daisydori subscription should be here in a couple of days too. Ay yi yi, I should probably control my spending just a bit over the rest of March, don't you think?

  1. Wow, lots of good deals there. I tend to shop for crafts in spurts like this too. I enjoyed one in February and am desperately trying to be good in March before the Creating Keepsakes convention in April. But spring really does call for new scrappy stuff, doesn't it.

  3. Those Maggie Holmes stickers look really nice -- sometimes it's hard to find nice larger letter stickers. I don't think you need to feel guilty at all, because it's obviously all Tracie's fault. hahahahahahahaha :-)
