Sharing a layout - Sweet Boy

What are my three fave scrapbook topics? Why, it's my daughter, my Lowder-dog, and myself, of course. Hahaha! That sounds like the beginning of a joke or something, but it's true. :)

I thought I'd share a recent layout that I made starring Lowder-dog. This time around, I chose to work with some cute Studio Calico paper from their Baxter line, I believe.

Here's a look at the title block. I know it's not an obvious title maybe, but I didn't really think it needed to be.

And a close-up of the journaling. I'm painfully aware that Lowder-dog is really an old man now at age 14, so I'm working to capture as much about his personality and habits as I can while he's still with me. Sniff! Isn't this Simple Stories diecut journal spot a perfect place for the story on this page?

I had a little bit more to say, so I stuck the end of the story on a cutapart label I had. So, yes, sometimes, I misjudge how much space I have to write the entire story and have to get creative to make it all work.

Check out the layered embellishments I added between the journal block and the photo.

Here's another look at the final layout. It's busy with multiple patterned papers, but I kept the layout itself pretty linear to make it a bit more easy on the eye. Hope you enjoyed another layout focusing on my sweet, sleepy, elderly boy!
