Renovation upcoming to-do list

Yesterday kicked my butt. I was pretty much busy all day long, but I did manage to accomplish a lot. Are y'all sick of these posts yet? I promise that the project is coming to an end soon. I just can't take much more of it...

Here's what the rest of my week looks like in terms of the scrapbook studio reno: (The parts in parentheses indicate what I have to do in my regular life that day other than work on this project.)

Tuesday 9/22 - (School + ESS + WKU lecture) continue storing supplies as I sort and purge what I own; focus on items for hanging organizers and bookshelf; install mdf tabletops in room; plug in arrange technology on tabletops as planned
Wednesday 9/23 - (School + Faculty meeting + Date night) continue storing supplies as I sort and purge what I own; focus on open cube cubby and paper cubes; Jake and his dad move armoire from garage into studio space for me; put together two new drawer cubes I bought
Thursday 9/24 - (School + ESS + Adult night class) continue storing supplies as I sort and purge what I own; focus on drawer cubes
Friday 9/25 - (School) no work in room tonight because I'll be podcasting in Nashville
Saturday 9/26 - (WKU football game + Date night) continue storing supplies as I sort and purge what I own; focus on items in armoire; scrape stickers from windows
Sunday 9/27 - (No Plans!!!!) continue storing supplies as I sort and purge what I own; focus on closet; finish any other areas that I wasn't able to finish throughout the week; make labels; dust and mop room; photograph room storage choices and blog about storage decisions/challenges/reasoning
Monday 9/28 - (School) buy picture frames and have interiors cut at Home Depot - thinking of a pegboard and a chalkboard and a corkboard and a markerboard version, but I'm not sure yet; hang frames
Tuesday 9/29 - (School + Ess + Adult night class) hang/arrange decor items in the room; begin work on banner; put down rug that I ordered
Wednesday 9/30 - (School + Date night + Fall break begins) finish banner and hang; photograph room decor and room in totality; blog about the experience and the finished product

I'm really starting to get excited about the finished look of the room and being finished with the project in general. God knows, I'm ready to have my fairly orderly house back, and I'm ready to do some crafting. It feels like it has been FOREVER since I've been able to do anything crafty at all. Stay tuned!

  1. I'm getting excited *for* you! It's been a lot of work, but it can be so empowering to see what you can accomplish to transform something (a space, in this case) in a relatively short period of time. (Easy for me to say, right???) Sounds like it will be great!!
