Back to school 2016 in photos

First day of school selfies at my house -> yeah, I'm pretty nerdy that way.

I was excited to wear the linen dress I bought at El Corte Ingles in Madrid.

A couple of my colleagues and I posed for a selfie together before home room. Look, I didn't even take this selfie for a change! Hahaha!

This was my first start of school in 23 years without Vonda by my side. I don't think I'm ready to forgive her for retiring on me!

Lunchtime at my desk will prob be a recurrent theme. I've done a bit of visiting, but I really need some quiet time by that point in the day.

Inspirational words on the screen at the back-to-school faculty meeting... One of our district mottos is, "Once a Purple, always a Purple."

My day 2 outfit was a dress I've had for a few years from Ralph Lauren. It's super comfy and flattering + I love a black/white print. I posed for these selfie a when I got home from work Thursday.

No pics from day 3 -> I was just too tired. Back to school is def wearing me out this year. I sort of wish I had a relaxing weekend planned, but that isn't the case. Push through...push through...

Our student numbers are up this year, about 1275 students are currently enrolled at BGHS. That number may continue to increase as students return from family trips to Mexico this month. (I think there's a religious pilgrimage sort of trip that many take this time of year, but idk the details.)   I can def feel the population increase in my classroom since my smallest class is 29 and my largest is 33. I'm trying not to focus on that right now though. 😁 Just breathe...

**If you'd like to see a video of my classroom, check it out on my Instagram feed - @lowdertiff.

Here's an aerial view of our campus for all those inquiring minds.

So yeah, here we go with year 23 for me. Here's to hoping the next 11 are as memorable and satisfying as the first 22 have been...
