Another lovely weekend in the books

The hard thing about lovely weekends is that they come to an end too quickly. Take a look at the weekend I'll be missing as I muddle my way through work this week.

It was a good time to take a walk...

We also went to a double-header high school basketball game on Friday night, but I didn't take any pictures. I was too busy yelling at a dirty ref. (And, no, I didn't get thrown out or anything.)

On Saturday, I met Lorie for lunch and presents and chatting at Tea Bayou downtown. It was so much fun! I can't wait to go back and try more of their New Orleans style menu.

Following lunch, I met the fella and watched his kiddo play his first Upward Basketball game. It was entertaining to watch, and Luke even made a basket.

After the game,  I stopped to pick up my glasses I'd ordered last week with the last of my 2015 health flex money. I really like them, but it's taking a bit for me to get used to them. Their cat eye style is much different from my last few pairs of glasses, but I was ready for something a bit more modern - albeit with a retro vibe.

I didn't take any pics of the grocery trip or Pizza Hut or movie night at home, but those were all fun too.

On Sunday, I spent the day puttering around the house. I made a pot of shrimp & corn chowder; I snuggled the pups, and I read a book. It was quite the lovely, relaxing day. Since it was so cold outside and spitting snow, I forced Lowder-dog and Charlie-dog to each wear a sweater. I can't be sure, but I think Lowder-dog might be plotting my demise. (Think Stewie on Family Guy...) They should be thanking me for all the snuggles and treats and a warm house, but I see the indignant gleam of hatred in their eyes. Hahaha!

Basketball + the fella + meals out + friends + snuggles + pups made for a quite lovely weekend.

Peace out! I hope your weekend was equally as nice. Have a great upcoming week!

  2. Muffeletta - I've always wanted to try some of that. I'm drooling too - damn Weight Watchers. Love your doggie sweaters. Our puppy Jack - the cutie patootie Pomeranian, loves his fleece jacket. But we are in Michigan and in the single digits this week
