Sharing a layout - The Sweetest Thing

In honor of finishing my scrapbook room renovation, I spent a little time in there the other night getting crafty. I'm happy to report that my new arrangement appears to be working for me, but I still need to label everything.

I made a quick layout the other night in my selfie album. I really like my journaling on this page because it's a bit more tender than I normally share. I also like that the colors of this page coordinate well with the pink floral of the left side. Even though the pics aren't connected really, the common color creates a more cohesive look as you flip through the pages. Take a look:

This week, I really want to play some with stamping and watercolor, but I'm a little intimidated by the mess factor. I'm anticipating that neither will go smoothly for me - just a hunch. Trying to be brave and give it a shot though. Stay tuned for more crafty projects in the near future hopefully! What's the next technique or project or supply that you want to use creatively and why?

  1. Love the pretty products and happy journaling -- glad for you to have that (him) in your life. :) I want to work in my new art journal -- and I have a plan for it -- but it's still a little intimidating to start. I want to have the left page be poetry that I've written and have the design & style of both the left and right pages tie in to the poem somehow. No pressure, right?

  2. Dunno if I'm in time to make a recommendation or not, but start out with stamping and embossing so the embossing holds your colors where you want... makes starting out easier, love your layout!

  4. Oh I like your page - your happy shines here. Good luck with the messy stuff, I'm a little shy on that count too.
