Sharing a layout - So Graceful

In light of this week's podcast about scrapbooking the funny stories of our lives, I managed to put together this layout last night about an embarassingly funny moment I experienced last year. Note that most of my funny stories do have an element of the horrific in them; read into that what you will.

I started with an 8.5 X 11 piece of patterned paper that I "think" was from the Maggie Holmes collection and paired it with some lined Daisy D's paper that I planned to journal on. I added a couple of PL style cards for the title blocks and used October Afternoon letter stickers for the title. (My stickers don't want to stay stuck, so I may have to go back and add some glossy accents to some of the edges. Idk why they're giving me trouble...)

Here's a close-up of the journaling in case you'd like to read it.

I included some Maggie Holmes cork pieces and a state fair style ribbon from her collection too. The ribbon trim I used is October Afternoon.

I'm really pleased with the way the layout turned out overall. It feels like me, but I don't think it looks like every other layout I've done recently. (I struggle with that sometimes!)

I hope you're encourgaed to scrapbook some of your own funny or embarassing or eccentric stories; I think they're lots of fun to read. :)

  1. Oh, my. That sounds like something that would happen to me. I would often stumble getting onto the risers for chorus or band concerts in high school. I love the look of high heels, but I just can't pull them off. I like how you've layered things up on this layout to give it visual interest.
