Sharing a layout - 42

If you follow me on instagram or other social media, you probably already saw this pic. I posted it the other day as I was waiting for inspiration to strike. Not bad for a selfie sans makeup, eh? Anyway, my plea to the muses of scrapbooking must have been heard because I managed to make a couple of layouts that very afternoon. I even did something crazy radical for me -> I printed my journaling instead of writing it by hand. Hahaha!

Here's the first layout that I made about things that are true of me at 42. Unintentionally, I came up with a list of 21 items, so I thought that worked out pretty well. For this layout, I went back to an 8.5 X 11 size, chose white cardstock as my base, and printed my journaling. That's pretty much out of the box for me. Hope you like it! (I know the background doesn't look truly white, but I promise that it is.)  :)

Had to have a little bit of handwriting on the page, right? Plus, I thought this label and glittered heart did a good job of creating a triangular design principle and evenly distributing the weight of the layout. And yes, that's a selfie that I'm using for this layout. I'm predictable, I know.

I used an October Afternoon jounaling spot and letter stickers to create my title.

Check out the embellishment area I created with some patterned paper strips and a glittered heart.

Here's a more close-up pic of the journaling in case you'd like to read it.

If you haven't done so yet, be sure to check out our latest podcast over at The ScrapGals. This week we're talking about finding our mojo; we'd love for you to listen and let us know what you think.

I'll be sharing another layout on Thursday, but I hope you'll check back in before then. I'm back to my daily blogging schedule; maybe you'll find a variety of things to keep you interested. ;)
