Living a Lowder Life: December Daily - Sharing days 8, 9, and 10

Yes, I'm way behind on m December Daily. No, I'm not really worried about it. Now that I'm off work for a couple of weeks, I think I can make the time to finish it. I'm still having fun with it, and that's kind of the point, right? How is your DD progressing? Are you behind like me, or are you exactly caught up? I'll try not to be too jealous of those of you who are on day 21 like I should be...

Day 8 was another entry where I used the #30daysoflusts prompt. This has really been good for me to have a structure/format to fall back on when I don't have another important story to tell. It has really taken the pressure off of me to find a story for each day, and I love that!

Supplies include OA paper, letters, card, and embellishments, Basic Grey number, Target wooden tag, and Pink Paislee candy cane.

Since day 8 was a single page spread, day 9 is a two-pager that's back to back. If I were very OCD, this would bother me. Since days 9 and 10 sort of go together thematically though, I'm totally fine with it.

This is a super simple page with just 4 photos, OA patterned paper and word strip, and a Target thicker style number. The other small embellishments are OA and Basic Grey.

The flip side of that page tells the story of that day. I needed the entire 4 X 6 journaling card (an old PL card from my stash) to tell the whole story. I like that the green strip makes it feel a little bit Christmas-themed even though it really isn't.

Besides the old PL card, I used a card from Studio Calico, a strip from Pretty Little Studio, and an OA diecut.

For day 10, I was super excited to use a page protector filled with 2 X 2 squares. I'd seen Ali use one in her album, so I wanted to try it too. Unfortunately, Recollections doesn't make this kind of page protectors. Since Simple Stories does, I picked up a package of their mixed page protectors at HL and altered it. First, I covered the existing holes with washi tape. Then, I repunched the holes using an existing Recollections protector as my guide. It worked like a charm!

For the squares, I used OA patterned paper and embellishments, tiny photos I printed at home, and a at from Target that I trimmed significantly. This is such a fun page to me; I'm already excited about working on the flip side.
