Sharing a Layout - Mon Amie

I haven't made a layout based on a grid in a long time, so I decided on Monday afternoon that this was the perfect time to make one. I used a paper pack from Crate Paper as well as a 6 X 6 Crate Paper pad, but they weren't from the same line. I very rarely mat my photos, but I felt this one needed it because it was smaller, just 4 X 4, and because I wanted to create a more unified amount of space around the photo section as it lined up with the various squares.

Here's a closeup of the title. Look at me using some ancient Making Memories chipboard letters!

And here you can see some of my journaling more closely.

Here's just a bit more journaling. I didn't have tons of stuff to say, but I did want to make sure I told the story of meeting Caroline and how much I enjoyed getting to know her.

And one more look at the finished layout... I had so much fun looking for little embellishments to add to each square. This layout was one of the most enjoyable I've made in a while because it came together so easily. Since I used a paper pad, I felt like the colors and patterns were nicely cohesive. I also enjoyed digging through my embellishment stash and trying out different bits to place on the page.

What are you working on this week? How's it going for you?

  2. Hello Tiffany,

I read this blog post on my way to work this morning. You should know that it was just the right thing I needed.
I am feeling sad these days, because of the Paris attacks, but also because of the anti-muslim and anti-refugee statements I have come across. I have been thinking about how difficult it can be to live together (your post on Paris and appearances also resonates here). Therefore, it feels immensely precious that we are able to connect with people on the other side of the planet. I cherish that.

    Merci

    Your friend Caroline
