Sharing a few fauxdori pages

I finally bit the bullet and started writing in my fauxdori. I wasn't happy with the homemade inserts I'd made thus far, so I splurged and bought a 3 pack of Moleskine lined notebooks at Target the other day. At $13.95 for the three of them, I thought that was a reasonable price - not great but reasonable. I went with the pastel option, but they also had them in kraft.  Right now, I'm using one of the original fauxdoris that I made, but I did order a custom made one on Etsy last week that I'm dying waiting for it to arrive. I also put a real midori on my Christmas wish list at Amazon, just in case anyone looked at it. Haha!  Anyway, here are a few pics of my current fauxdori setup.

The faux leather, inner fabric, and tassel came from Hobby Lobby. The Paris charm came from Michael's, and the stretchy elastic ribbon came from JoAnn's. I'm not sure where I got the clips; they were just part of my stash.

And here are a few pages I made. I'm using the first notebook in it as a kind of listing journal. I've made only two pages in it so far, and one of those is front to back rather than facing each other when the book is open. Duh! Oh well, I'll just know not to do that anymore. Sometimes I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. Notice that the title page of the first notebook is really still incomplete. I'm not sure what I want to put there or how, so I'm just living with it as it is right now. For these pages, I've used several different stamps sets that I thought would be cute in my fauxdori, some goodies from my Cocoa Daisy planner kit, a combination of a few washi tapes, and a versafine black ink pad.

The middle notebook is currently empty. I'm  just not sure what I want to do with it yet. The last notebook is one that I'm treating as a kind of common book. I'm recording quotes that speak to me when I run into them as I read something in a novel or online that speaks to me. This journal will likely just be writing without any real decoration.

I'm carrying my fauxdori in my school bag and I'm using a little pencil pouch I picked up at Michael's to store all of my goodies in for when I have a few extra minutes. Today, I worked on my pages during my planning period and in the half hour I had between ESS and my night class. I like that it's portable and relatively easy to corral regardless of where I am. The pencil pouch was on clearance at Michael's for like $2 a few weeks ago.
