Fall traditions at Jackson's Orchard

Every October for the past 23 years, I've taken Kelsey to Jackson's Orchard for their fall fest. We always have a snack of apple cider slushies, caramel apples, and maybe a fried peach pie. We always pick out pumpkins to carve, and we always take some family photos. When she was small, we spent lots of time in the pumpkin patch or corn maze; we painted faces and petted baby animals at their small petting zoo; we even played on the swings and slide and other toys. These days, all Kelsey cares about are the snacks and the pumpkins, but she's still willing to have her picture taken. Some years, her dad or her friends or her boyfriend or my friends have accompanied us, but this year, it was just the two of us. I have to say I think I like it best that way.

Here are a few of my fave photos from Saturday - trust me, there were many more ridiculous outtakes
that I'm not sharing here. Let's just say that I was feeling rather silly and unphotogenic. (Is that even a
word? Oh well, it is for today on my blog.) Anyway, these are the pics I'm willing to let you see. ;)

There you go - a few crazy shots and all, but I kept the worst ones for myself. Hahaha!
