Fall break - beginning glimpses

How about a few glimpses into my first day of fall break yesterday?

I slept in until about 8:30 or so. That meant that Lowder-dog and I were ready for a nap around noon. We cuddled up with my snowflake blanket and snoozed on the couch for about an hour.

Later that afternoon, I treated myself to a massage with Haley. I was feeling nicest rested and relaxed, so I worked on my scrapbook studio space a bit. Here's a shot of all the stuff I still need to put away. At least it's no more than what will fit on my dining table now.

Finally, the fella, his kiddo, and I went to Griff's for dinner and to the BGHS football game. It was chilly and windy! Since we were up 49-0 at halftime, we headed home at the point. I expect they had a running clock once the second half began. We went to Michael's house and settled in for some Battlestar Galactica which I truly love. (Looks like I am a sci-fi nerdy girl.)

All in all, it was a perfectly lovely start to my fall break. I relaxed. I recharged. I spent it with people I love. I didn't rush or worry. I didn't push myself too hard. Ahh, vacation is always a great thing, even when you stay at home.
