Sharing a layout - Happy Family Traditions

This afternoon, I made a layout featuring some photos I took of Kelsey and Jake at Jackson's Orchard this past October.

I started with some kind of old paper by Cosmo Cricket and Creative Imaginations. I'm not sure who makes the other piece of paper; it may have been a store brand of some sort. I also incorporated a strip of October Afternoon green ribbon that I adhered with my tape runner and staples too. After arranging those patterns on the page, I selected my photos, trimmed them each to 4 X 4 and arranged them on my page. Then I started layering. I started with the focal point photo and layered a kraft doily underneath it before adding a strip of stars to the left side. I also tucked a PL style card underneath it to start my title block before adding some Scenic Route labels with LilyBee Design letter stickers on top to finish the title. (I'm kind of into multi-word titles right now for some reason.) While I was at it, I wrote some brief journaling on the lined paper although it's a bit hard to read/see in the photograph.

On the right hand side of the lined paper, I cut apart some labels that made up a PL style cut apart card and stapled them onto my layout. I adhered a felt pumpkin to the top one, some more Scenic Route stars on the middle one, and a Jenni Bowlin (?) word label to the bottom one. Even though I used my tape runner to adhere the tickets, I liked the look of the staples on it too. (I had to use full-size staples because I've temporarily lost my tiny attacher refills and can't go to the store in a foot of snow to go get more!)

At the bottom of the layout, I arranged three photos in a staggered and slightly tilted arrangement. (I know that makes some of y'all nervous, but it was just too rigid to put them all in a row like I usually do.) I tucked another PL style card behind the middle photo to orient the viewer to the time of year and added another felt pumpkin to the measuring sticker I put at the bottom of that photo. I thought it was a subtle nod to the size of pumpkins at a pumpkin patch. On the left photo, I added another strip of the OA green ribbon I used on the main layout grouping, while on the right photo I added a Fancy Pants arrow sticker.

Here are a couple more views of the layout in case you want to look at something more closely.

And one more overview shot before you go...

I enjoyed making this layout even if it didn't come together as quickly as yesterday's mini-book. I've been battling a bit of a headache this afternoon, so maybe that's why. I hope you enjoyed my layout that I shared today. :
