Collections - ideas + sharing a layout

This week's podcast is all about scrapbooking the collections you have amassed. Before we did the show, I didn't think I was much of a collector. Oops, that was wrong! When we started discussing it, I realized I do collect quite a few things and have never scrapbooked about them. In light of that, I thought I'd start out this blog post with a list of my collections, so I can refer back to them at a later date if needed. (I'm so organized like that...)

I already collect:

1.  Fiestaware
2.  White servingware
3.  Dachshunds
4.  Monogrammed items
5.  The letter L (and I've started a collection of the letter T)
6.  Books in a series
7.  Owls (barely started)
8.  Pandora bracelet charms
9.  Perfume
10. Christmas ornaments from around the world
11. Coats
12. Snowmen (barely started)

I want to collect:

1.  Vintage linens
2.  Milk glass
3.  Globes
4.  Old world maps
5.  Silk scarves from around the world

Since this was the topic of our show this week, I thought it might be nice if I started my collections mini-album (which I plan to be an ongoing project) and shared a layout with you. I've never really photographed my collections before, so I only had one photo of a collection that I could use. Here's my finished product.

I decided to go with an 8 X 8 size since I had some paper packs that size; I didn't want to use a full-size page but needed it to be large enough to be able to include some journaling. The paper I chose was October Afternoon (my fave). I also used two PL cards and Jillibean Soup alphabet letters. The stickers and other small embellishments were just pulled randomly from my stash.

I'm looking forward to getting a bit more crafty this weekend, hopefully. My plans are to try to finish the last of my 2014 December Daily and to work on some regular layouts for fun. How's that for specific? Haha. I also really need to place another photo order too. Lots and lots to do - what are your crafty plans this weekend?
