It's been two weeks since I went to the grocery, and I spent all of last week eating like crap. As a single person, it's so easy to just eat out or to eat overly processed foods. I would've never eaten like this when I was responsible for cooking for a family, so I need to change my ways a bit. I must do a better job putting good fuel in my body. Because of that, I thought I'd try a Menu Monday post, basically outlining the things I plan to eat/cook in the coming week.
Monday - Tracie's coming to town, so we can record our podcast. That means I'll be eating out tonight.
Tuesday -- It's my adult night class tonight, so I'll need to have something in the crockpot since the fella will prob come over. I'm thinking that chicken 'n dumplings sounds good.
Wednesday -- I'm cooking for Kelsey and Jake tonight; quesadillas and taco salad are on the menu.
Thursday -- Still really up in the air plans wise..will I go over to see the fella or stay home alone? I have night class tonight too, so I'll likely be exhausted. If I go there, the menu will be up to him. If I stay home, it'll likely be leftovers.
Friday -- It's football Friday with the fella; takeout on the way to the game will be the plan.
Saturday -- I haven't made homemade pizza in a while; Saturday night sounds like a good night for that.
Sunday -- Fall Sundays are for football and crafting and something simmering on the stove. Doesn't white bean chowder sound like a yummy menu option?
What about you? What yumminess do you have planned for the coming week?
great idea! I would love your chicken & dumplings & white bean chowder recipes if you would want to share.
ReplyDeleteThat sure is a whole lotta cookin! PS: I admire your stellar use of semi-colons. I wish I could learn when to use them. :)
