Delicious antique mall photos from Franklin, KY

On our way back from the Handmade Harvest Vintage Fest a few weeks ago, we stopped at Lorie's favorite antique store right off the interstate in Franklin, KY. (Franklin is about 20 miles south of my town along I65 and about the halfway point between BG and Nashville, for reference.)  I'd never stopped here in my entire life, but I have a sneaking suspicion that I'll be making occasional trips there from this point forward. It was a huge antique store and lots of fun to dig around and see what the various booths offered. Of course, I was hooked from the moment we pulled up when I saw these delightful gliders like my grandparents used to have on their porch. Needless to say, I didn't get them since sandblasting and special painting would be involved in restoring these beauties. But I sure did drool over them a bit...

Indoors, there were all kinds of random gems that I loved, so I snapped some photos along the way. I hope you see some vintage goodness that you like in this pics.

I bought two sets of vintage napkins - linen, white, embroidered, fabulous - and plan to make something with them eventually. At 20 napkins for just $16, I think I got my money's worth. But there was so much more I could have purchased. The possibilities in a place like this really are endless.

  4. Those stereo opticon (not sure if it's one word or two) cards are super cool. It made me think of finding a picture of one online and modifying it in PSE to include my own pictures. (Will I do this? Who knows!)
