Community Theater

We like plays. Especially community theater. Since I've been dating the fella, we've averaged seeing 6-10 plays per year together. He also takes his son to see some of the plays that are more geared toward kids or that I'm not interested in seeing for some reason.

We almost always sit in the exact same seats when we go to our favorite venue - PTK or Public Theater of Kentucky. Recently, the fella counted up the plays he'd seen there in the last year and came to the realization that he'd probably buy season tickets for next year. Besides supporting the theater, season tickets would probably save him a bit of cash too.

I'm not sure what community theater options are available where you live, but I encourage you to check them out and support them. You could even explore acting if you're the brave sort. (I've been encouraging the fella to do that someday.) I'm thinking of making a small, annual donation to our community theater as a way of supporting them myself.

Here are a few pics from one of our recent community theater experiences. If you have the chance to see the Tony award winning play, Vanja, Sonja, Masha, and Spike, then I highly recommend you do so. :)
