Scrapbook Studio Renovation Reveal

To celebrate the fact that I'm finally finished with the renovation of my scrapbook studio, I made a video yesterday that I'd like to share with you. Woohoo! I'm thrilled that it's finally over, and I'm thrilled with the final result too.You can see it by clicking on this link to my YouTube channel. If you enjoy it, please share some love. I plan on doing some more videos about the specific organization and storage choices I made, so stay tuned for more video about the project if you like that kind of thing. Here's a photo of part of my space to get things started.

If only y'all could have been at my house at 2:00 am this morning...it was like the floor story in this week's podcast all over again but this time it dealt with YouTube. Let's just say I am NOT techy at all. I recorded these videos at least a dozen times, literally. Either YouTube or my iPhone or my laptop or the universe in general was determined to thwart my video sharing efforts last night. I even deleted an 18 minute video on accident and had to re-record everything more than once. Aacckk! I hope some of y'all go to my YouTube channel and watch; if you're willing to leave me some video love, that'd be even better. Take a look if you dare...hahaha!

And here are the video links for the tour:

Take a walk down memory lane with me now that you've seen the new and improved version of my scrapbook studio. (Like, I'm so pleased with it that I don't feel quite so ridiculous even calling it a studio. Know what I mean?) In case you've forgotten, here's where I started with my scrapbook space. It's pretty messy and chaotic and kind of overwhelming. I didn't clean it up at all before taking and posting these photos; you're seeing it in all of its messy glory. I hated the color, and it seemed like I never had any space on my desk to actually work. Instead, things were stacked on tables and falling over constantly. In short, the space was not working for me. It's my hope that this new arrangement will work much better and allow me to be more productive.

  1. Woooow I have only seen bits and pieces (off to YouTube now) but it looks so much better. I love that you took all these photos and that you are finally all done. I am sure it was worth all the blood (on your soles of your feet) sweat....lots of that, and tears...there had to be tears with all that drama. Love the transformation and can't wait to see what you create in here now that it is all fresh and new.

  9. Your room looks terrific! I really enjoyed your videos of the completion of your room. My husband heard me laughing when you explained your flooring experience (LOL) on The Scrapgals podcast. He listened an requested that I ask you the name of the product you used to "de-sticky" the eight inch strip of floor. Thank you for sharing your beauttiful room.
