Hoping hard for a snow day

While I love the South in general, I do not love it quite so much in February. As I awoke to another gray, dreary, Monday that followed on the heels of a rainy and windy Sunday, I realized that what I really need is a snow day. Just one. Is that too much to ask?

We had a little bit of snow last weekend...

It wasn't even enough to make the roads bad, but it sure did look pretty. It also did the all important job of giving me an excuse to not leave my house. "The weather might get bad, so I can't make it" is a common excuse 'round these parts.

As I drove to school this morning, it started snowing pretty steadily. I sat in my car on a phone call before my day began and watched the snowflakes dance and swirl all around me. The parking lot became coated with a light frosting very quickly. Chances are it won't stick. Chances are it will stop in the next hour or two. But I could still really use a snow day...

Forecast is calling for another snow 'event' Wednesday night; I might just need to pull out my snow-jammies and do a little dance to improve my odds of the ever elusive snow day...

How's your Monday going?
