December Daily - days 11-14

I haven't given up on my DD yet, people! I just haven't had a lot of time to work on it over this break. When I've had a free moment, I've wanted to relax instead of get crafty. Feel me? Anyway, last night around 11 pm, I decided I'd go back to my studio (that I cleaned the other day finally) and actually make something. In the space of two hours, I managed to finish days 11-14 of my DD. Only 11 days to go now; I can do this. I can really do this!

For day 11, I finally decided to use one of the divided page protectors that came with my OA album. This day is a back to back page, meaning that both sides of this page protector are day 11. That might really bother some people, but I'm cool with it. The Santa paper is Jenni Bowlin, I think, and the wood veneer word is Studio Calico.  This page focuses on my decorations - including the pups as they snooze among the decor. Isn't dasher a perfect description for Lowder-dog in this pic?

Here's the back of day 11. I saw Ali Edwards write across a card/page with a design a while back and decided I'd emulate her by doing the same thing. On this page, the gold ornament is American Crafts and the ornament paper is the back of that Santa paper by Jenni Bowlin. I made the number 11 relatively small on this page, but that's okay. I like that the numbers for each day are in different areas and are different sizes and colors. Notice that I continued the gold dot washi tape from the front of the patterned paper to the back; I think that provides some nice continuity to indicate the front and back of the layout are for the same day.

I love the pics on this page! Day 12 tells the story of more former kiddos who came back for a visit at school. The pull out journaling is pictured below, so you can read what I had to say about it.  The lined journaling card, black numbers, and brown tab are old, but everything else came from the OA kit this year.

Day 13 is the back of day 12 and features a photo of me posing in front of Tracie's tree. The pic turned out a bit dark, but I still wanted to include it since it featured a different tree than mine and since it was a full-length pic. I don't have very many full-length pics in my album because I don't often have many that I like of myself. This one is okay, so I def wanted to include it. The lined paper is ancient and was a piece I had lying around from last year's DD. The snowflake flair, Dear Santa stamp tag, and black letters are old too, but everything else on this page came from the OA kit that I bought.

Day 14 is an enlargement of me - a selfie, you guessed it! I printed the word selfie on a printable transparency and layered it over the photo. I then added the gold tape underneath it with the word Sunday spelled out in the letters that came with the OA kit. (Selfie Sunday is a popular hashtag on Instagram, and this pic was from a Sunday. I thought that all worked out nicely.)

And here's how these pages look in my actual album...

How are you coming along on your December Daily? Have you given up or finished or are you still plugging away at the project? I'd love to hear from you,
