Summer themed layout - Hello Summer

Here's the last of my summer themed layouts that I created for this week's podcast about our summer bucket lists over on The ScrapGals

Let's start with a closeup shot of the right hand side of the page - I worked in 8.5 X 11 this time.

And a closeup shot of the journaling in case you'd like to read my sage words...or just my regular words either one. (I crack myself up regularly, can ya tell?)

I love a scallop. And a stripe. And a strip. And a polka dot. That is all.

And I love repetition. And using older supplies. And mixing patterns. And playing with shape, texture, and color. And apparently, I love parallelism too.

Here's a look at the entire layout. It's not overtly summery except for being outside and the clothing, but I think the summery papers and embellishments work well with the pic.

Happy summer peeps! Next week, we'll be talking about art journaling. I'll be sharing my many failures in the process and a few wins too. Be sure to stop in and say hello!
