Sharing a layout - Basketball Tourney

Stripes just make me happy, ya know? So does gingham. And dots. And unexpected color combos. And pretty much any pattern you can imagine. Yeah, visual candy makes me happy in general.

Here's the title treatment for the layout I'm sharing today. I started with an OA card and added a button and Jillibean Soup letter stickers before popping it up off my layout for some depth. I overlapped the card with my focal point photo for a bit of a different vibe.

I repeated the button embellishment along the bottom right hand side of the layout to tie in the embellishments. Plus, I kinda thought they were reminiscent of basketballs. ;)

I stuck my journaling card (from OA) into a patterned vellum pocket (Amy Tangerine, I think) and stuck on a wooden piece (Studio Calico, I think) as a handle. I thought I kept our ticket stubs from this game, but idk where they are. If I find them, I can staple them to the top edge of the pocket.

Here's a close-up shot of the journaling in case you'd like to read it.

Check out the bottom of the pocket - I added the tiny OA sticker for some extra flair.

And here's my finished layout! Check out the gingham ribbon I dug out of my ancient supply stash. :)

It was a simple little evening that Tracie and I shared, but I'm super glad that I documented it with this layout. Plus, this sort of helps me get in the mood for school to start - good thing since I go back to work tomorrow. Aaaacccckkkk! I'm not ready for the lazy days of summer to be over just yet...
