Birthday reflections

My birthday celebrations actually started a few days before my actual birthday.

On Wednesday, October 1, my friend Lorie and I went to Novo Dolce for dinner and then to the movies to see Lucy. Not only did Lorie treat me to a lovely dinner, but she gave me a gift certificate for a massage. I can't wait to go have that done!

The chocolate martinis at Novo Dolce are to die for...I could have had like 5 of them...

I ordered a personal pizza that was amazing too...ate every bite...

Here's the outside of Novo Dolce,a relatively new gastro pub in our town. I'll def be going back.

On Thursday, October 2, I met my friend Tonia at Burdett's Tea Room for lunch and to discuss her upcoming trip to Paris with her daughter.  I forgot to take pics of our food, but it was fabulous. Tonia treated me to lunch for my birthday, and we spent three hours chatting and catching up. Three hours!!!!

On Friday, October 2, I headed down to Tracie's house for podcasting. Check out the sweet goodies she gave me - a minky throw, a fall candle, a letter to decoupage, candy, a wiener dog tape dispenser, a cool corkboard, and a neat box to keep scrapbook supplies. She knows how I love a box of goodies! Tracie's mom even made me chess pie for my birthday! (There's no picture of that because I was too busy eating it.)

On Saturday, October 3,  I went to the Handmade Harvest Vintage Fair with Tracie, Jennifer, and Caroline, then we went to Carrabba's for lunch. Oh. My. Goodness. I could eat there every day of my life. The food was phenomenal!

On my actual birthday, October 5, I drove to Florida with my friend, Travis, for a restful week of fall break. Travis treated me to a cocktail and dinner. Birthdays on the beach simply rock.

Back at school on Monday, my friend, Vonda, gave me this adorable monogrammed sweatshirt in our school colors. Since it turned off rather cool this week, it was perfect to wear to Friday night's football game against our cross-town rival. :)

I celebrated my birthday with Kelsey and Jake on Wednesday, October 15. We headed to Mellow Mushroom for an amazing dinner and lots of fun conversation. I love those two kiddos! Here's a pic of Kelsey and me that Jake snapped for us. I don't feel super ancient in this photo at least.

Instead of just a single birthday to celebrate, it looks like my friends have managed to extend my celebration over the course of a couple of weeks. I am a lucky girl indeed.
