I've been keeping a huge secret, but I'm excited to announce it now --- I'm leading a scrapbookers' trip to Paris in 2027! And I'm crazy excited that you might want to join me. Keep reading for all of the details.
Maybe you've always wanted to attend a ScrapGals event but missed out on the retreats we held in the USA between 2016 and 2022. Maybe you're closer to Europe than you are to the USA. Maybe you've always wanted to travel abroad and have been looking for a way to make that happen. Maybe you just love scrapbooking and travel (and maybe Tiffany), and this sounds like a lot of fun. If some (or all) of those things are true, then this might be the perfect trip for you.
I first visited Paris in 1987 as a teenager, but I didn't fall in love with it until I started visiting again in 2008. Since then, I've traveled to and stayed in Paris more than a dozen times. During these trips, I did many of the same things again and again, but I also found something new to experience each time. Now, I want to experience Paris with fellow scrapbookers who are eager to see the city through their unique storytelling and crafting lens.
Join me for an amazing experience. Part bucket list travel destination, part scrapbookers' dream trip, part art exploration, part delicious food and wine, part amazing photography opportunities, part storytellers' paradise, part epic friends' trip -- don't you want to be part of the very first Wandering Storytellers experience?
My long-term vision is to host a Wandering Storytellers event in a different city in the world each year. For 2027, our destination is Paris. Who knows what will happen in 2028?! I would love to take my fellow scrapbookers and friends all over the world; we'll just have to see how this very first travel opportunity plays out first. I'm not sure how many scrappy travelers we have in our group, but I'm taking a leap of faith and trusting the universe in the process. Travel is expensive, but I do believe the rewards far exceed the investment. If your budget, schedule, and enthusiasm all line up with this opportunity, I sure hope you'll take a leap of faith too and join me in Paris in the spring.
I think it's important to address that this trip is NOT a crop. It's not a retreat. It's not a tour. This trip is an opportunity to experience a beautiful city in the world through a storytellers' eye. Every single person is inherently a storyteller. We tell stories through our scrapbooks, our photographs, our art, our writing, our relationships, and the way we spend our time. You're likely thinking about this trip because something about crafting or scrapbooking or storytelling or this community appeals to you. Joining me as a Wandering Storyteller is an opportunity to travel to an amazing location with people who wish to experience the world through that same creative lens. Our theme for Paris 2027 is Cafes, Culture, and Creativity, so everything we chat about and do together will connect to that theme in some way.
I'm not a professional tour guide, but I have led multiple groups of young people to Paris and other cities around the world for more than a decade. Beyond that, I lived in Paris for six weeks in 2016 and really felt like I was able to experience the city on a more intimate level. I feel confident that I can create an experience that will enhance your visit to Paris whether it's a first-time trip for you or you've visited before now.
When is the trip?
The first trip for us Wandering Storytellers is Sunday April 18, 2027 through Friday, April 23, 2027 - 6 days with activities I have planned for us.
This is the only trip in 2027 that I'm going to guarantee. If this trip sells out, then I will add additional trip dates for April, November, and December. (To help you plan, know that the two trips in April will be the same, and the November/December trips will be the same.)
Who can join us?
This trip is open to anyone aged 16 and over.

Shared Lodging Information
1. Only paid participants may stay in group lodging. For everyone's comfort, only women will be invited to reside in our group lodging.
2. The price is determined per bedroom space. You may decide if you wish to share that space and how you and the other individual will split costs. All bedrooms have space for two guests to sleep.
3. Shared lodging is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The space will not be large enough for the entire group of 12 guests plus me. I will provide lodging reservation suggestions and assistance to those who do not join us in the shared space.
4. To reserve your space in our shared lodging, a $150 non-refundable deposit is required. I recommend reserving your spot asap in case our shared space availability sells out quickly.
5. The shared lodging payment plan is as follows:
Option #1 - pay in full by November 30, 2026
Option #2 - make four equal payments by November 30, 2026, December 31, 2026, January 31, 2027, and February 28, 2027.
6. I will release specific information about our shared lodging space by September 30, 2026 once I have a better idea of how many people are interested in this option. My goal is to keep each bedroom space under $500 USD per night, which is about average for nice hotel rooms.
You should consider joining us in our shared lodging if:
1. You desire to be on-site with other event participants
2. You are flexible and willing to share common space with others
3. You have predictable, manageable bathroom needs that enable you to wait a few minutes if needed
4. You prefer to lodge with others due to safety concerns or anxiety/nervousness about traveling alone
5. You're a social butterfly who loves to spend time with others
6. You prefer to let someone else handle the planning and logistics of securing a space
7. You are a go with the flow kind of person who likes to focus on just enjoying yourself
8. You are excited by the prospect of staying in a more intimate shared space that resembles family life in Paris
9. You are a bit adventurous since you won't be selecting the neighborhood or luxury level
10. You just love Tiffany and think she'll fun to hang around with a little extra
Who should probably lodge alone instead if:
1. You have significant mobility issues as most lodgings have stairs somewhere in the apartment
2. You have a great need for quiet and solitude
3. You have unpredictable or troublesome bathroom needs that make waiting difficult
4. You are more regimented, predictable, and rigid in your schedule and space
5. You are traveling with or are a man
6. You prefer to choose your location, level of luxury, and services available
7. You don't really like Tiffany and don't want to hang out with her more than the daily group activity
***The photos in this post are all from trips I've taken to Paris in the last five years. It just so happens to be my favorite city in the world.
Reserve your spot on this epic trip today! Getting to join in on the inaugural Wandering Storytellers trip is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; I can't wait for us to experience Paris together. :)
